Stories A promise's telling
Agent authority
Nothing an agent can safely do waits for a person, and nothing that cannot be taken back happens without one.
The seven beats
- World
- A person's groups and the agents working in them — a company, its clients, their clients — where the authority walk already seals every sibling from every other.
- Cast
- The owner, who holds the key and the biometric; the agents the owner created and the agents those agents made; agents that joined from outside.
- Knock
- An agent is told 'set up the new client' and stops at the first step, because today its key may not create an actor — and an agent that wants to buy something for 0.0001 has no way to.
- Want
- Agents that run on their own and stay safe: they do everything the owner could, spend small amounts freely, and ask only for what cannot be taken back.
- Way
- A consent field on each receiver, an allowance in micro-units, money divided down the agent tree and swept back up it, one Touch ID tap through human:notify and human:resolve, and one page where the owner sees and steers every agent.
- Turn
- The first 'always allow'. From then on the agent's ask for that kind of act is a straight run, and the owner's trust is written in the substrate, not in a settings page.
- Lesson
- Open — a Lesson is learned by someone, and this one is not written yet.
This story carries its beats but no written telling yet — text/agent-authority.md has no “The story” section.

Paths
The flows this story walks — trigger → step → step.
- agent calls a consent receiver → human (human:notify, parks) → owner taps → tool (human:resolve runs the call once)
- balance passes the float → tool (sweep settles the surplus to the parent, then up to the owner)
