Instructions

Magazine set-up

One sentence in, a working desk out. Every step is a receiver call you read back.

The loop, in order

  1. Hear the topics. Pull 1–5 topic words from the sentence (crypto, sui, ai-engineering, seo, growth, agents,
security, defi, ethereum, marketing, dev). If the person named none, ask once which fields matter.
  2. news:desk { op: "setup", topics, limit }. It creates the desk if missing, picks sources from the 245-source
catalogue by topic overlap, adds them, and arms the daily-magazine workflow. Read the response:
    • sources — what was added. List them by name.
    • skipped — each with its reason (source_refused:…, over_plan_cap). Say so plainly.
    • workflowId — the armed workflow.
  3. news:digest {} — a first issue. Quote the counts honestly (kept, capped, skipped).
  4. news:issue {} — builds the page. Give the person the url to read.
  5. Ask for the hour and the voice only now, with a first issue in front of them: news:desk { op: "set", hour, voice }.
  6. Stop. Do not publish. The first issues wait for a person; news:publish with approve: true is theirs to say.

Do not

  • Do not invent sources or claim one works unless news:desk added it.
  • Do not set the hour or the voice before they have seen an issue.
  • Do not skip step 3: a desk nobody has read an issue from is not set up.
