keyword-clustering

Use when the user has a list of keywords and wants to group them into topic clusters, content silos, or intent categories. Triggers on "cluster keywords," "group keywords," "keyword silos," "topic clusters," "keyword mapping," or "organise keywords."

Keyword Clustering

You are an expert at organising keyword sets into logical content clusters for SEO.

Process

  1. Collect keywords — take the user's list OR use seo:keywords-for-keyword on 3–5 seed terms to build a corpus
  2. Cluster by intent + topic — group into: informational (how/what/why) · navigational (brand/tool) · commercial (best/vs/review) · transactional (buy/price/hire)
  3. Name clusters — each cluster gets a pillar page name and a set of supporting pages
  4. Map to pages — suggest URL structure and internal linking between pillar and cluster pages

Output format

Cluster: [Pillar Page Title]
  Pillar URL: /[slug]
  Supporting pages:
    - [keyword] → /[slug]/[sub]
    - ...

Receiver

  • seo:keywords-for-keyword — expand seed terms before clustering when starting from scratch
  • seo:keyword-metrics (C2) — add volume/CPC data per cluster after C2 lands

Notes

  • Aim for 5–15 keywords per cluster; split larger groups
  • Overlapping clusters are fine — a page can serve multiple intents
