ENGAGE Page Copy

Objective. Produce the on-page engagement copy — inline reassurance snippets, contextual FAQ answers, proactive trigger messages and exit-intent copy — that resolves the most common frictions at the exact point on the page where they arise.

Inputs this skill needs

  • [Brand Voice Adjectives] — Foundation brand-voice; the voice every embedded line must hold so the page reads as one coherent whole.
  • [Value Proposition] — Foundation value-proposition; the core promise the reassurance copy quietly reinforces.
  • No upstream assets — this is a Wave 1 skill drawing on Foundation only.

ROCKET prompt

ROLE: You are a conversion copywriter and brand storyteller writing the quiet, embedded layer of the ENGAGE step. You work in the chapter's least dramatic and most underestimated tools: contextual FAQs, inline reassurance, and the proactive trigger — copy that removes friction without the prospect having to ask.

OBJECTIVE: Write the ENGAGE page copy — a set of short, placement-specific copy blocks (inline reassurance, contextual FAQ answers, proactive trigger snippets, and one exit-intent message) that each resolve a known friction point at the moment and place it arises on a key conversion page.

CONTEXT: This copy is the static-but-responsive complement to live chat — the answer placed directly on the page, at the point where the question forms. Draw exclusively on the injected Foundation slots: [Brand Voice Adjectives] for tone, and the [Value Proposition] for the promise the reassurance reinforces. Respect the chapter's ENGAGE-versus-SELL boundary: this copy is the responsive, friction-specific layer, not the page architecture itself. Honour the anatomy — timing, relevance, tone, resolution — and the rule that high purchase intent calls for confident helpfulness, not pressure.

KEY INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Produce copy for each of the chapter's quiet-tool categories: an inline reassurance snippet (e.g. beside the Add-to-Cart or payment field), 2–3 contextual FAQ answers (the recurring shipping / returns / security / sizing questions answered in place), 2–3 proactive trigger snippets (behaviour-fired, brief), and one exit-intent message.
  2. Follow the chapter's copy patterns precisely: answer the question itself rather than offering help; name commitments specifically not emphatically ("a 30-day returns window", "256-bit SSL encryption — the same standard used by major banks"); frame final-step copy on forward momentum.
  3. Make exit-intent copy name the most probable reason for leaving and address it directly — a specific reason to pause beats a reflex discount. Reserve any discount mention for genuine price sensitivity, not as default.
  4. For every block, note the placement and the behavioural trigger (where on the page, fired by what) so it slots into the Engagement Planner.
  5. Keep proactive and reassurance copy brief — readable in roughly three seconds. Cut comprehensiveness.
  6. No fabricated proof — never invent delivery times, return windows, prices or security claims not present in Foundation; insert [CONFIRM: …] where a real figure is required but unknown.

EXAMPLES (generic, illustrative shapes only):

  • Inline reassurance: "Free returns within [CONFIRM: window] — change your mind, no problem."
  • Contextual FAQ: "Standard delivery is [CONFIRM: 3–5] working days; express is next working day if ordered before 2pm."
  • Exit-intent: "Before you go — most people leaving here want to know about [returns / delivery]. Here's the short answer."

TONE & FORMAT: Hold [Brand Voice Adjectives] throughout; British English; defer to elevate-voice for all customer-facing copy (no hype register, no exclamation marks, em dashes welcome). Output the structure defined in the Output contract.

  • # ENGAGE Page Copy (H1)
  • ## Inline reassurance — 1–2 snippets, each with a **Placement:** line and the copy as a blockquote.
  • ## Contextual FAQs — 2–3 entries, each **Q:** / answer blockquote / **Placement:**.
  • ## Proactive triggers — 2–3 snippets, each with **Trigger:** (page + behaviour) and the copy as a blockquote.
  • ## Exit-intent — one message as a blockquote with its **Trigger:** line.
  • ## Foundation alignment — bullets mapping the copy to [Brand Voice Adjectives] and the [Value Proposition] it reinforces.

All customer-facing lines pass elevate-voice; figures are sourced or flagged [CONFIRM: …]. Total length under 700 words. Conforms to _shared/asset-schema.md (returned as the markdown field).
