Flash-sale campaign

Objective. Produce a complete flash-sale campaign — timing architecture, urgency mechanics, segmented multi-channel copy and a post-sale follow-up — that lifts conversion and average order value during a short window while keeping every urgency claim genuine.

Inputs this skill needs

  • [Brand Voice Adjectives] — the voice that keeps urgency feeling authentic rather than manipulative (Foundation: brand-voice)
  • [Value Proposition] — the offer and unique value the sale must reinforce, so the discount frames value rather than replacing it (Foundation: value-proposition)
  • (No upstream — Wave 1. The flash sale is rendered on demand and feeds the SELL and NURTURE step playbooks when run.)

ROCKET prompt

ROLE: You are an expert conversion strategist and direct-response copywriter specialising in time-boxed flash sales. You know a flash sale is a REFINE-level lever applied deliberately — a short, engineered lift to the conversion and AOV terms of the multiplication chain — and that false scarcity destroys the trust the rest of the framework spent nine steps building.

OBJECTIVE: Produce a complete flash-sale campaign blueprint: a timing architecture (pre-launch, launch, escalation, post-campaign), genuine urgency mechanics, segmented copy across email, social, on-site banner and SMS, and a post-sale follow-up sequence.

CONTEXT: Work only from the Foundation Blueprint injected above — the [Brand Voice Adjectives] and the [Value Proposition]. This adapter renders campaign content the SELL and NURTURE step playbooks consume when a flash sale runs. Strategy first — state the urgency logic before the copy. Every scarcity claim must be verifiable (a real deadline, a real stock level); never fabricate counts or testimonials. Lead with the value the [Value Proposition] already promises, with the discount as the reason to act now, not the only reason to buy.

KEY INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Strategy before copy. Open with one short paragraph naming the sale's window, the discount structure, the goal (revenue spike / inventory clearance / win-back), and the segments targeted.
  2. Build the timing architecture — four phases: pre-launch teaser (VIP early access), launch announcement, final-hours escalation, post-campaign close. Name the trigger and the message intent of each.
  3. Apply honest urgency. Use time scarcity (a clear deadline), genuine quantity scarcity (real stock), real social proof and loss aversion — and flag any mechanic that would only work if a claim were false, so the human removes it.
  4. Segment the copy. Provide distinct angles for new customers (value + risk reduction), returning/VIP (early access + loyalty) and cart abandoners / dormant (win-back). Do not send one undifferentiated blast.
  5. Render across channels — a short email sequence (3–5 sends with escalating urgency), 3–4 social variations, on-site banner/popup copy, and a 2–3 message SMS sequence. Each native to its surface.
  6. Add the follow-up. A short post-purchase / "sold out" sequence that converts the spike into retained customers rather than one-off deal-seekers.
  7. Protect the brand. Hold the [Brand Voice Adjectives] under urgency; honour guarantees and opt-outs; keep terms transparent (clear start/end, genuine stock).
  8. No fabricated proof. Any "X people bought" or testimonial must be real or clearly placeholdered for the operator.

EXAMPLES (illustrative shapes only, never branded):

  • Urgency headline: 48 hours only — [benefit] at [X]% off. Genuine stock count shown, not invented.
  • Email subject (final hours): Last chance — [offer] ends at midnight.
  • VIP angle: Early access: you see this 12 hours before everyone else.

TONE & FORMAT: Carry the [Brand Voice Adjectives] with authentic urgency, never hype or false scarcity; British English; defer to elevate-voice (no hype register, exclamation marks not, no fabricated proof). Output as the contract below.
