Multimedia Weekend is an intensive, hands on, two day workshop that will provide you with a solid foundation in Adobe Flash CS5. Learn to create professional animations, design interactive websites, broadcast powerful ads, create animated movies or incorporate audio & video into self-contained presentations.
At Network One we believe that 'doing is learning' & if something is fun it will be done well. The weekend is spent creating a short animated movie. You will learn to draw, animate, blend audio & video to tell your story on the web. You will explore simple principles of animation like speed, timing, squash & stretch, then progresses into the analysis of physical effects & natural phenomena. Examples of Flash animation are broken down into single frames revealing what it takes to create realistic motion for sparks, drips, water, lightning, & explosions.

Learning Objectives
- Planning: Learn how to setup your development environment, write or edit your movie script, create a storyboard & plan your project.
- Drawing: Design characters, backgrounds & objects using Adobe Flash.
- Imaging: Prepare, clean & polish your graphics & images for your animation using Adobe Photoshop.
- Animation: Learn how to animate text, characters & objects using Adobe Flash.
- Multimedia: Learn how to add audio, video & interactivity to your movie.
- Advanced Animation Techniques: Create bones, 3D elements & filters for your movie.
- Interactivity: Add buttons to your animation that allow movement between frames, scenes & web pages.
- Broadcast: Learn how to broadcast your animation on the Internet.
Trainer
Tony O’Connell, 36, is an internet strategist, designer, marketer & educator. He has an honours degree in Marketing from Portobello College, Dublin, Ireland & has been developing & marketing web services since he graduated in 1994. Tony has worked as an internet strategist with the EuroMBA Consortium, EADA Business School, & TEFL Ireland & as a teacher of animation to 15 year olds in Saint Gabriel’s College, Bangkok. He has setup & managed several marketing & research companies including Ogilvy Interactive Research, Ireland & Imarketing Australia. He likes to work & play on the beaches in Thailand & has 2 Thairish kids.
